What is App Tracking?
App Tracking | Definition
App tracking is the process of collecting data from an app (application) about the app user and/or device that is linked to other data collected by an ad network, website, or any other third-party data source for targeted advertising or measurement. Mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablets, are used to access mobile applications (apps). These apps can gather information (data) and relay that data to the app creator. Such data could include the number of app downloads, the type of device or operating system, languages, and other in-app events. Marketers use this information to better understand their app users and create ad campaigns that target specific audiences.
